Contextualizing GIA: an experiment in collective research&design

General Intelligence Agency (Of Ljubljana) is an emerging organization for collective intellectual consumption and production. To reflect GIA's double nature as a research and design organization, we will combine the format of a lecture with a workshop to outline the vision and (provisionary) practical implementation of better cognitive tools for new experiments in radically democratic and decentralized collaboration. In the lecture, we will outline major topics, unexplored opportunities and potential caveats that accompany GiA's ambition at transforming itself from a simple reading circle to a collaborative research project.

After that, we will invite the audience to try out a web-app prototype for personal and collective content management. Building on spaced repetition and Tinder-like matching ideas, it will help users filter through their content and afford connections based on shared expressions of interest.
